Our cover and School Activity Corner feature photographs and an interesting article written and sent to us by Rick Myers, a member of the Bayou Woodturners, who recently presented a woodturning program to students at East St. John High School in Reserve, Louisiana. The program included making “Freedom Pens” for our overseas soldiers.

In this catalogue edition, Penn State Industries is pleased to introduce several new products. Dear Educator,
We have added many new items to our school woodworking product line. Especially, check out all the new project blanks we have added to pages 34 to 47.
We hope you and your students will be as excited about all these new items as we are.
Ruthe Ingram, our Freedom Pen distributor, submitted our cover and page 4 photographs. On our cover is a photograph from Lutheran High School in Orange, CA. These students have made 446 pens so far this year and they are planning another turnathon. Bill Rogers is the instructor and he is an amazing and inspiring teacher!
